 Join us for Redeemer’s Annual Lessons & Carols; a service that celebrates the birth of Christ with scripture reading, Christmas carols, and hymns. 

This year, we will begin the night with a fellowship gathering around fire pits with s'mores, hot cocoa and a collection of homemade treats and baked goods from members of the congregation. Come for a festive gathering in the parking lot next to the Firestone Room starting at 5pm. It is is raining, we will be in the Lower Warehouse. The worship service will then be held in the church sanctuary at 6:30pm and the nursery will be provided for young children during the service. 

Prayer is vital to our individual Christian lives and to the life of our church. Secondarily, this will offer us an opportunity to develop deeper personal relationship  across the body. Nothing connects us better than prayer with people, and food. 
           
Here are some of the details:

• Redeemer will provide the main portion of the meal (the meat) and drinks, and those of you who attend will bring sides and/or desert.

• We will meet in the Lower Warehouse.

  • 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm // Fellowship Dinner

  • 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm // Prayer

• This is for the whole church family, to include children and youth. There will be no nursery, but please don’t let that stop you from coming.

• For those who have community groups on Sunday evening, we are asking that you make this part of your community group schedule and attend corporate prayer.     

Come to the monthly men’s morning prayer on the last Tuesday of each month. The next gathering is Tuesday, August 27th in the Redeemer Sanctuary. Doors open at 6:15am.  No sign up, just show up.

Father&Son Great Fish Catch: Dads, join us with your K5-5th grade sons for our first-ever Great Fish Catch! We'll be at the Bennett farm on Saturday, Nov. 23rd from 3:00-8:00. Come for fishing, fellowship, campfires and fireworks (fish, food, and fireworks provided)! We'd love for you and your boys to be a part. Sign up by clicking the button below.

Redeemer’s women’s ministry would like to invite you to a readying-for-Christmas night on November 14th at Sage Andrews’ home. Please plan to be a part as you create your own Jesse Tree Advent Devotional with other women. Come for a special time of fellowship and leave with a meaningful Christmas devotional for your home. Some ahead-of-time prep will be involved and space will be limited.

If you would like to participate but are unable to come the night of November 14th, we’d be glad to pick up your ornaments from you and return back to you the completed Jesse Tree Devotional Set back to you.

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

1. Sign up for one of the slots in the sign up above.

2. Make 25 of that ornament.
   Check out Pinterest for ideas.

3. Bring your ornaments in a box.

4. Come and view all the ornaments and enjoy some Christmas goodies.

5. You will leave with a complete set of 25 unique ornaments and a Jesse Tree devotional.

6. Once you’re home, you will need a small tree, branch, real or fake to hang these on.

December 1st you will be ready to hang your first ornament and read the first devotional for December to go along with the ornament.

After Hours: A Redeemer Men’s Event will take place at Chad Milner‘s farm at 8 o’clock on Friday, November 1. Bring a chair for this pastor led discussion with Q&A to follow with the men of our church. See you there - 1920 Malcolm Bridge Rd.

Redeemer Young Adults (RYA) will host a Halloween party Thursday, October 31 at 130 Soule Street, Athens GA 30605 at 7:00pm. The theme is a western murder mystery (yee haw)! Chili will be provided so please bring your favorite side dish to share. Cowboy themed costumes are highly encouraged but not required!

Pig Pickin' is back!

It's time for the annual Pig Pickin' gathering!
Have someone in mind you'd want to invite?
Do it! Do it now and do it intentionally! 

Come join the BBQ on October 26th from 5-8pm. All families, kids, friends, and neighbors are invited for some good BBQ and music along with lots of games and activities for kids. 

The purpose of these large gatherings is to cultivate a space for genuine outreach opportunities. You are encouraged to think about your friends, families, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances that you'd love to see there and to reach out to them intentionally.

If you are interested in helping with the Pig Pickin' we'd love for you to reach out to the Deacon in your shepherding group to connect about the gathering needs! 

All women are encouraged to attend the next Common Thread on Thursday night, October 24th from 7-9pm here at Redeemer. Consider inviting another woman or two to grab dinner with you ahead of time and then come join Redeemer Women for the special evening we are planning.

Parents, if you’d like your child to be a part of our fall communicants class, please come to our Sept. 29th parent’s informational meeting in the RedeemerKids communicants classroom.

Join us after worship on the 29th in the upper warehouse hallway: we’ll have sitters for your children during the meeting, materials for you, and details about the communicants class.

Small Group Night - August 25

Come to the Firestone Room on Sunday from 6-8pm! We’ll have hot dogs, King of Pops popsicles, and introduce all of the fearless Small Group Leaders! Groups will have time to hang out together and get to know one another better.

COLLEGE LUNCH

A warm welcome back to all the college students! Please plan to join us AUGUST 25th after the Sunday service in the Lower Warehouse for lunch. We’d love to meet you and share a little about Redeemer.

RUF Large Group is a big weekly gathering where college students come together to worship, pray, hear a thought-provoking and practically applied message from the Bible, and hangout. Want to get a sneak peak at Large Group before you come? Check out more here.

There’s free parking at/all around Redeemer’s building so use any spot you find. You can ignore the ParkMobile signs, parking during RUF events is free! When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by some friendly faces and a room full of people who’ll be eager to meet you. Worship kicks off at 7:30p and we’re all wrapped up by 8:45pm.
