Redeemer’s annual Low Country Boil returns on May 3rd from 5-8PM and will take place at the Bennett Farm (9695 Jefferson River Road)! Come eat some shrimp, enjoy the fellowship and have a great time with the church family!
The purpose of these large gatherings is to cultivate a space for genuine outreach opportunities. You are encouraged to think about your friends, families, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances that you'd love to see there and to reach out to them intentionally.
So grab someone who needs that opportunity or needs Jesus...bring your own camp chair....and we'll see ya on May 3rd!
Redeemer is also in need of many volunteers to pull off this event! Consider signing up for one of the 1-hour slots by clicking below!

All students are invited to come celebrate the end of the school year at RPCYouth. Wear a hawaiian shirt and get ready to have a blast! Dinner, dessert, Gagaball Tournament of Glory, end of the year slideshow… don’t miss it!
Seniors: Invite your family and RSVP here!
For this year’s Junior/Senior trip (this trip is for current graduating seniors and current juniors) we’ll be heading to Lake Hartwell for 2 nights of yurting, paddle boarding, and good old fashioned RPCYouth fun.
Where are we going? Tugaloo State Park Yurts
When are we leaving? Lunchtime!
What are we doing? Yurting! Swimming! Paddleboarding! Quiet devo time! Group discussion!
What do need to bring? We'll send a packing list as the trip gets closer— but think swim suits and comfy clothes.
Any other questions? Let Morgan know!
What is City Project? City Project is RPCYouth's in-town "mission trip." We'll complete various projects around the Athens that focus on Neighbor, Church, and City. These will range from manual labor (building, gardening, painting, cleaning) to service (cooking, serving food) and lots of in between! Students will get assigned a project or two every day so there's a good variety.
Sounds awesome! Who can sign-up to come? Any rising 7th-grader (for the 2025 school year) and up can join! Graduating seniors can sign-up to serve as a volunteer Team Leader (at no cost!)
I still have questions! Where will we sleep?
We'll be at Redeemer! Girls will take over the nursery/lobby side and boys will take over the adult education side of the main building. Bring an air mattress or a cot and you're good to go!
What about showers? It IS a mission trip… so this won’t be the life of luxury— but there WILL be showers for you.
And what about food? Breakfast will be eaten together at the church before we leave for projects, and during that time you’ll also make a lunch to take with you. At night, we’ll split into groups and visit various restaurants around town. These will likely be places you’ve never tried before, so come with an open mind! The idea is to get to know all the facets of our city via different cuisine. Some students have found their new favorite places to eat through City Project!
This all sounds great— but why should I come? Jesus tells us the greatest commandment is to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” As we seek to love and honor God, we are to love our neighbor. This is our way of getting involved in what Athens as a city has going on, and how we can partner with ministries our church is already involved with. We’d love to have you come and see what God is doing in our city!
Awesome. How much does City Project cost? It’s $100, which covers all your food and helps with supplies for projects— and a t-shirt!
We will blast into space this summer, and we want you and your children to be a part! This summer, VBS will be Monday, June 23rd - Thursday, June 26th, 9:00am - noon each day.
VBS is for children who will be in 5-year-old kindergarten this coming school year. If your child will be in a 4-year-old pre-K (or younger) this fall, we'd love to care for your child in our VBS nursery area if you volunteer during the VBS week. You can sign up to volunteer at the volunteer link on the previous page. We'd love to have you join us!

We want you to know where we're coming from, but we also spend lots of time hearing your questions and discussing together what's "new to you" about our church. It's six weeks to ask questions, hear about why Redeemer does what she does, and how you can be a part of it.
Questions? Ask Matt msiple@redeemerathens.com
Join us at Redeemer on February 21st and 22nd as we dive into contentment with Cindy Young. Meals will be provided, along with a nursery for lap infants.

While this class is recommended for high school students, middle schoolers are welcome to join in. If you have questions or need a book scholarship, please reach out to Wes!
